Asheville is a very charming, diverse and growing city nestled in The Blue Ridge Mountains, it is the largest city in WNC with a small town feel. It's all about culture here in AVL, Arts, Museums, impressive and endless Fine Dining , Architecture, History, Breweries & Wineries, Music, Antiques, an abundance of Rooftop Bars, Unique Bookstores (like Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar) and clean Mountain Air. The higher elevations of the mountains give Asheville milder spring and summer temperatures and cooler autumns. AVL does not have a lot of snow in the winter months but we have plenty of ski resorts within 2 hours of the city. We have 30+ art galleries, gorgeous sceneries all year round and have the 'Blue Ridge Parkway', 'Smokey Mountains', 'Pisgah Forest' and 'Nantahala National Forest' all within driving distance. The fall foiliage is unbelievably beautiful and we are known for being very 'Pet' and Family' friendly. Asheville offers its residents the sophisticated big city style with a laid-back southern twist! Many people that flock to the area know that our mountains, which are one of the oldest in the world, have some magic about them. There is a reason why they call us 'The Land of the Sky' because we truly are and we also know that our town will get into your soul once you fall in love, it's hard to fall out again!
